Canada has excelled at every stage of data management: collection, protection, and governance. The study confirms that Canadian organizations have established clear governance frameworks that secure data effectively.
The result is remarkable: more than one in two Canadian organizations actively exploit the majority of their data, positioning Canada at the forefront globally. These organizations convert collected data into strategic decisions, operational efficiency, and measurable business results. Data is no longer merely stored; it's activated, shared, and leveraged for decision-making. This advanced maturity distinguishes Canada on the world stage,particularly when compared to the global average where only 45% of participating organizations utilize more than half of their collected data.

Canada demonstrates global leadership in data utilization, with 55% of organizations actively leveraging more than half of their data, the highest rate worldwide, ahead of the United Kingdom (54%) and United States (52%). Moreover, 67% of Canadian organizations characterize their data initiatives as operational rather than experimental, another leading indicator. Canada's distinctive profile reflects strategic discipline: a steady, progressive standardization of data practices rather than technology-driven hype.
