1992:
Founding of company as Alizé Gestion Technique d’Immeubles Inc..
First assignment: 6 flagship buildings of SITQ (formerly a subsidiary of Ivanhoé Cambridge) in Montreal.
1993:
Expansion of our activities for SITQ in the regions of Trois-Rivières and Quebec.
1994:
Development of an Energy Management offer and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
First Energy Performance Contract (EPC).
1998:
Establishment of the first mobile maintenance team.
New Facility Management mandate for Place Alexis-Nihon, Centre Montréal-Trust, and Place Laurier in Quebec City.
2001:
Acquisition of Tri-Air, a specialist in HVAC system management and control.
2004:
Specialization in the Airport Sector thanks to the contract with Aéroport de Montréal for the operation of the baggage handling system.
2005:
Alizé was rebranded as Axima Services and won its first Energia award.
The company also acquired 50% of the shares of Contrôles AC.
2007:
First contract in the United States with the mandate for the Louisville Airport.
2008:
Second Energia Award for our activities.
Our activities in the United States are expanding with the acquisition of our second contract for the management of the facilities of Boston-Logan International Airport.
2009:
Axima Services became Cofely Services when Gaz de France and SUEZ merged.
2010:
Third Energia Prize for our expertise in commissioning existing buildings.
Opening of our Toronto branch.
2011:
We received the BOMA Pinnacle Canada Award for our Facility Management activities.
We also acquired Adelt Mechanicals Ltd., which was renamed Cofely Adelt.
2012:
Implementation of UDROP, the first self-service automated baggage drop-off system in North America.
Cofely Services celebrates its 20th anniversary.
2014:
Two Energia awards for Facility Management for Ivanhoé Cambridge and for the recommissioning of the Résidence Riviera long-term care facility in Gatineau.
2016:
Gdf Suez changed its name to Engie. This change represents the Group's ambition to become the world leader in Low-Carbon Energy Solutions. Cofely Services becomes Engie Services.
2018:
Acquisition of PBW High Voltage Ltd..
Purchase of the remaining shares of Contrôles AC.
Establishment of Engie Transport CM Canada, owned 50% by Engie Services and 50% by Engie Inéo.
This new entity aims to develop our service offerings for transport infrastructure in North America.
2021:
July 2021: Creation of the Equans brand, a global leader in the energy and services sector.
Equans is now an autonomous entity within Engie, under the leadership of Jérôme Stubler as CEO, and brings together all of Engie's service companies.
November 2021: Bouygues signs a purchase agreement with Engie to acquire Equans.
2022:
April 2022: Engie Services has been renamed to Equans Services and Engie Transport CM Canada has been renamed to Equans Transport CM Canada.
October 2022: Bouygues completes the acquisition of Equans, marking a key milestone in its development. This operation enables Bouygues to become a global leader in the Energy and Services Sector, which is at the heart of environmental, industrial and digital transitions.
